是六方形晶體層狀結(jié)構(gòu)。在常溫下化學(xué)性質(zhì)穩(wěn)定。1370℃開始分解。315℃開始被氧化,溫度越高氧化越快。
在各種介質(zhì)和高溫、低溫、高負(fù)荷、高速度制動(dòng)等情況下都有優(yōu)異的潤滑性和降低摩擦系數(shù)的特性。
在摩擦材料中作用:1.低溫時(shí)減小摩擦系數(shù)降低磨損。
2.高溫時(shí)由于摩擦過程中發(fā)生氧化轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)槿趸f和三硫化鉬失去層狀結(jié)構(gòu),不能降低摩擦系數(shù),但能夠抑制樹脂向鋼鐵表面的轉(zhuǎn)移,有效的減小復(fù)合物的磨損提高其耐磨性,延長使用壽命。
3.氧化產(chǎn)物MoO3、MoS3和MoS2形成共聚物顆粒,溫度升高時(shí)共聚物顆粒膨脹,從而產(chǎn)生增摩作用。
